Dr. Andrew Gilfillan’s extensive experience, dedication to patient satisfaction, and his devotion to advanced continuing education make possible a high level of care. His desire to listen to and respect his patient’s concerns is reflected in a comfortable and gentle patient experience.
Dr. Gilfillan’s expertise in restorative and cosmetic dentistry have given his patient’s the ability to look and feel great. His conservative approach has helped many significantly improve in function, health, and beauty. Additionally, people have come with unexplained toothaches, recurring headaches, and other facial pain, and Dr. Gilfillan has been able to give them relief. By focusing on proper oral function and healthcare, he sets a foundation for long-term, comfortable results.
Following graduation from the College of William and Mary, and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1993, Dr. Gilfillan completed a general practice residency from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 1994. Prior to returning to Williamsburg, he held family practice positions in Winchester and Leesburg, where he was active in the community. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Peninsula Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, where he holds a fellowship, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
Dr. Gilfillan is thankful to return to Williamsburg with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, outdoor activities, and serving professional organizations, such as the James City County Rotary and the Lackey Clinic.
